With Halloween less than a month away, now is the best time to begin planning your costume! The hardest part of finding the right costume for some of us is incorporating our glasses – or finding affordable glasses to include with the costume we have chosen. We wanted to help you out, so we created a list of what we thought were the best (and some of the most unique!) costumes we could find. Check out our top picks, and tell us what costume you will be wearing this year!
The Costume: Catch a drive-in movie, then head out for Halloween in these authentic looking 50s era Halloween costumes! The great part about these costumes is that you can wear them whether you are single or want to be part of a couples’ costume.
The Costume: If you are following current fashion trends, chances are you already have some pieces you can mix and match for the perfect 60s costume! For women, a simple shirtwaist or shift dress will suffice (Layer on the jewelry, ladies! This outfit is all about the accent pieces and hair!). Men can rock a suit or slacks and a button up cardigan over an oxford shirt. If you need more inspiration, look to the hit TV show, “Mad Men”.
The Costume: Bring your SexyBack this Halloween by dressing up as Justin Timberlake! JT is pretty stylin’ these days – to pull off his current look, slick that hair back and slip on a slim suit with a skinny tie or bow tie. Add some sharp looking specs, and presto! There are other options too, but whatever you do, make sure you keep it classy.
The Glasses: Bronx E
The Costume: You will look like anything but a hound dog in this Elvis costume! Grab some shades and rock on!
The Glasses: Ray-Ban RB4125 CATS 5000 Sunglasses
The Costume: To imitate the look of one of the USA’s most influential and controversial people in our history, grab a suit and some horn-rimmed frames.
The Glasses: Superdry Harper
The Costume: “I believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing. I believe in primping at leisure and wearing lipstick. I believe in pink. I believe happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day, and…I believe in miracles.” Well, you heard her! Be the prettiest girl at the Halloween party with a classy black shift dress, layered pearl necklace, sparkling hair piece, and an up-to-there beehive hairstyle. Don’t forget the sunglasses!
The Costume: There will be no mistaking who the most stylish person in the room is if you choose to dress like Jackie Kennedy for Halloween this year! Jackie was best known for making a statement with simple style. To pull off her look, try a shift dress with a scarf (around your head), classic bracelet, and of course, some “Jackie O” sunglasses!
The Costume: With the remake of the famous movie “Man of Steel” coming out on November 12th, Superman is sure to be a popular costume this year! Pair a Superman tee with a suit, partially unbuttoned oxford shirt, and extra loose tie to reveal both sides of this classic!
Dr. Egon Spengler from Ghostbusters
The Costume: Halloween is the perfect time to take on the role of this sweet-tooth character! Perfect for the person who wants all of the candy, but none of the socializing at the Halloween party.
The Glasses: Peepers Round Tortoise Men’s Reading Glasses
Stu or Alan from The Hangover
The Costume: This will be your craziest Halloween yet if you join the Wolf Pack this year! If you’re going for the Stu look, don’t forget to use some black tooth makeup to fake that missing tooth!
The Blues Brothers
The Costume: Everybody needs somebody to love, and the crowd will love these Blues Brothers costumes! Any plain black suit will do – match it up with a hat, black tie, white oxford shirt, and a pair of Wayfarers and you’ll be ready to sing the night away!
The Costume: You’ll be flying high if you choose a pilot costume for this year’s Halloween festivities. Pick your favorite version of a pilot costume, add a pair of aviators, and you’ll be oozing cool confidence!
The Costume: Everyone will be asking to see your badge in a police officer costume. Add a twist to the classic costume by wearing a pair of ultra-modern aviators from Superdry!
The Glasses: Superdry Motor City
The Costume: A doctor or nurse costume looks great on its own or makes a great couples’ costume! Mix it up by switching roles – women can wear the lab coats and men can wear the scrubs!
