Proclear Toric Rated Highest

According to a recent study in Contact Lens Spectrum (March 2009), Proclear Toric was rated best overall lens by 53 contact lens wearers who completed a five month study comprising a month wearing each of 5 competing soft toric lenses contact lenses. 27.9% of the participants rated Proclear Toric best overall compared to Biomedics Toric, Purevision Toric, Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism and Air Optix for Astigmatism which each scored best with 21% of the participants or lower. 

However, Johnson and Johnson latest soft-toric lens – the Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism was not included in the study.  The authors of the study also pointed out that not all of these lenses are recommended for one month of daily wear, some are recommended for 2 week wear only, and this might have impacted participants view of the “best overall lens”.
