Contact Lenses for Astigmatism
A recent survey conducted by Decision Analyst on behalf of Bausch & Lomb showed more than 4 in 10 people with Astigmatism believe they can’t wear contact lenses. Fortunately, rapid advancement in contact lens technology has made it possible for most Astigmats to wear contact lenses.
Toric Contact Lenses are available in many of the same options as regular contacts including soft or rgp, different color options, and disposable. All of the major manufacturer’s currently make toric lenses for Astigmatism with the most popular options being Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism, Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism, Soflens 66 Toric, and Proclear Toric.
If you have astigmatism, talk to your doctor to find the best lens fit for you.
